A memory is often something considered as a non-physical entity. I see objects differently. I believe memories can be physical and can be locked within an item. I believe objects retain indexical traces of their past guardians, in their wear and alterations. Collecting avidly has influenced my work in many ways. My collections vary from sentimental objects to those I am emotional drawn to through the remembrance they provide to a moment in my life.
My work encapsulates the memories that form my collections and that present the transient nature of my collections.
